Submitting for Awards in Multiple Categories: The More the Merrier!

By Irma Henderson, CAPP

The IPMI Awards of Excellence is an outstanding program that honors the industry’s latest and greatest programs, facilities, and projects.  Starting a submission or even considering participating in the program can be daunting.  You may initially think that your program or facility would not be able to compete with other large multi-million-dollar projects, but the awards program recognizes projects of all shapes and sizes.

It can be challenging to decide which projects would be eligible for which categories.  If you know your project checks all the boxes in multiple categories, submit it in multiple categories!  You might end up receiving multiple honors. Don’t limit yourself to just one award category.

Being recognized for the hard work and dedication put into a project or program and receiving multiple awards on stage at IPMI was quite an honor.  It is an opportunity to celebrate your team’s success and your project’s impact on the industry.  One project that we were most proud of is the Donation for Citations Blood Drive program.

We submitted this program in multiple categories and were recognized with an Award of Excellence (now called the Apex Award) in the Marketing and Communications, Public Sector category and with an Award of Merit in the Innovation in a Mobility, Transportation, or Parking Program category.

The 2024 Call for Awards is open now and runs through November 1, 2023. Submit your nominations for the people, organizations, programs, and projects that set the bar!
