As a kid watching cartoons and other T.V. shows, the idea of  flying cars in the future was fantastic! But sadly, we are in 2020, and no one has a flying car yet.

While scrolling through headlines, I found a short article about a Japanese company testing a flying car. My mind was blown! The fantasy of being part of a society that had flying cars came rushing back to me! Flash-forward two hours, and I had gone down a rabbit hole devoted to flying cars.

Vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) air vehicles are starting to become reality. The company that tested the flying car believes that by 2023, they’ll be for sale. But before you start saving your pennies to get one, current models can only fly about five to 10 minutes; future models may have the ability to fly 30 minutes.

It’s incredible and exciting to think a childhood fantasy could become a reality. Flying cars and flying taxis would be a whole new world for IPMI to explore! I hope I have the experience to ride in a flying car in my lifetime.
