Lots of talk about doing business in a new trade environment, plenty of electric vehicles (EVS), and loads of both compact cars and SUVs will take center stage at the Geneva International Motor Show this week; the show is traditionally a harbinger of what’s to come on the roads.
With European regulations on the horizon that will strongly discourage use of gasoline-powered vehicles, EVs will be a big part of the show–and automakers’ sales strategies. Honda, Audi, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz will showcase their new electric options, some designed to directly compete with Tesla. And despite that trend, automakers are expected to also display lots of SUVs, which remain popular with drivers.
