SpotHero Welcomes Karen Bartuch As VP of Brand Marketing


Former Amazon Brand, Digital and Go-To-Market Lead brings over 20 years of Brand Marketing leadership with plans to increase overall brand awareness and strategies for SpotHero.

CHICAGO — SpotHero announces the hire of Karen Bartuch as VP of Brand Marketing. In this role, Bartuch will develop and execute a long-term brand marketing strategy for the organization as a member of SpotHero’s Executive Team.

Bartuch’s career spans over 20 years in the public and private sectors serving on Motorola Solutions, PwC, Chicago Police Department and as an advisor to startups. In these roles, she led various efforts including policy, communications, marketing, business development, digital, research and customer insights. Most recently, she led Brand, Digital and Go-To-Market teams at Amazon. She is passionate about creating genuine and meaningful connections between brands and customers.

In addition to Bartuch’s work experience, she is also an adjunct professor teaching innovation and design at the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University. Additionally, Bartuch holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in communications and a doctorate in business administration.

Bartuch’s hire adds to SpotHero’s recent years of momentum. In the past two years, SpotHero celebrated its 10 year anniversary and expanded to the connected car via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SpotHero has raised $120 million to date and the team grew by nearly 90 people in 2021. SpotHero is currently hiring talent in Chicago, Toronto and across the United States for its Finance, Engineering and Product teams.
