Accredited Parking Organization (APO) Site Reviewer Renewal Training

The Accredited Parking Organization (APO) program establishes a benchmark of the quality by which a parking management organization conducts its business and maintains its facilities and services. Site review is a required component for applicant organizations and must be completed by an IPMI-approved site reviewer who has successfully completed this training.

APO Site Reviewers are solely trained by IPMI to evaluate organizations pursuing accreditation under the program. This course will cover quality management and continuity of applying best practices to each site, determining evidence to satisfy the standard, and the role and ethical expectations of an APO Site Reviewer.

APO Site Reviewer – Online Renewal Training

If you earned APO Site Reviewer status in 2015, it’s time to renew.

The Accredited Parking Organization (APO) program establishes a benchmark of the quality by which a parking management organization conducts business and maintains facilities and services.  Site Review is a required component and must be completed by an IPI-approved Site Reviewer.

Initial APO site reviewer training, first offered in December 2015, covered quality management and applying best practices, determining evidence to satisfy the standard, and the role and ethical expectations of an APO Site Reviewer.  Successful completion awarded participants a Certificate of Completion and a listing at parking.org as an IPI-approved trained Site Reviewer through December 31, 2018.

To renew APO Site Reviewer status for the next three-year period, through December 31, 2021, previously approved Site Reviewers must complete a 1.5-hour renewal training and pass the assessment at the end of the course by December 31, 2018.

If an individual whose expiry date is December 31, 2018 does not complete the mandatory renewal training, their status as an IPI-approved APO Site Reviewer will terminate on December 31, 2018 and they will be de-listed from all rosters. That individual will not be permitted to offer APO Site Reviewer services for APO applicants.  To re-certify as a reviewer, that individual will need to take and pass the full 8-hour APO Site Reviewer training when offered by IPI.

Course Formats

Live, Online Training: IPI will host live, online training on September 18, 2018 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET. We encourage site reviewers to attend the live training to take advantage of the question-and-answer period and interactive discussion.

Recorded Online Training: The online training will be recorded for those who are not able to participate during the live broadcast, and participants will be able to complete the course and assessment online on their schedule before December 31, 2018.  This option will be available on or before October 1, 2018.

Who should attend?

IPI-approved APO Site Reviewers who earned the designation in 2015 with an expiry date of December 31, 2018, who wish to maintain their status as reviewers for the next three-year period must take advantage of this training.

IPI-approved APO Site Reviewers who earned the designation after January 1, 2016 and who who wish to learn more about updates to the program are encouraged to attend.  This training will not extend the renewal date, but it will provide valuable information and points toward CAPP recertification.

Learning Objectives

  • Review the APO Program and key documents required for the accreditation process.
  • Explain improvements and revisions to the APO program. Illustrate how to document and organize the electronic submission package.
  • Explain the role of the site reviewer throughout the APO process, from RFQ to marketing the applicant’s accreditation

CAPP Points: This training offers 1.5 CAPP points toward application or re-certification and .15 CEUs. CEUs are earned following successful completion and a passing score of 70 percent on the assessment.
