Three women will attend SWPTA, CMPA, and FPTA / MSTPA conferences this fall with registration, travel, and lodging covered
October 22, 2026. Mobility Pathfinders, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing women as professionals in the parking and mobility industry, today announced the three recipients of its inaugural Pathfinder Regional Conference Scholarship. Each recipient will attend a partner regional show this fall, with registration donated by the host association and travel and lodging covered by Mobility Pathfinders.
The 2026 recipients are:
Alexis Castaneda, Administrative Support Coordinator and Alternative Transportation Coordinator at California State University, San Bernardino, will attend the Southwest Parking & Transportation Association (SWPTA) 25th Annual Conference, October 26-28, at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Castaneda leads sustainable transportation and commuter programs for the campus community.
Yveth Mafnas, Parking Manager with the City of San José Department of Transportation, will attend the California Mobility & Parking Association (CMPA) Annual Conference & Tradeshow, November 2-5, at the Hilton LAX in Los Angeles. Mafnas oversees on-street parking compliance and vehicle abatement for the city and is pursuing her Parking, Transportation & Mobility Professional (PTMP) certification.
Nathalia Amaral, Quality Assurance Coordinator at the Florida Department of Transportation, will attend the Florida Parking & Transportation Association and Mid-South Transportation & Parking Association (FPTA / MSTPA) Joint Conference & Tradeshow, November 30 to December 3, at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida. Amaral manages engineering consultant contracts for FDOT and serves as Membership Chair for WTS South Florida.
“Regional conferences are where careers in this industry take shape, and cost keeps too many talented women out of the room,” said Adrienne Tucker, President of Mobility Pathfinders. “These three professionals were selected for their drive and the impact they’re positioned to make. We’re proud to send them, and grateful to SWPTA, CMPA, FPTA, and MSTPA for opening their doors.”
The Pathfinder Regional Conference Scholarship covers registration, hotel for the show nights, and round-trip airfare. Recipients were selected by the Mobility Pathfinders Awards & Scholarships Committee based on their professional goals and potential for impact. Each commits to bringing what she learns back to her team and to the wider community of women in the field.
The regional scholarships expand the organization’s 2026 Awards & Scholarships Program, which recognized eight honorees across five awards and three scholarships earlier this year at PROM, the organization’s annual celebration, held this year in Milwaukee.
