Amano McGann Introduces ONEflex Ticketless LPR, Bringing New Flexibility to Ticketless Parking
Roseville, MN – Amano McGann, Inc., the leading provider of parking access and revenue control systems (PARCS) in North America, announced ONEflex Ticketless LPR today. ONEflex, a new Amano ONE feature, gives parking operators the benefits of a streamlined, license plate-based parking experience without sacrificing the flexibility, and sometimes necessity, of traditional ticketed parking.
ONEflex Ticketless LPR uses License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to create a virtual ticket as a vehicle enters a parking facility’s Entry Flex Lane. When the same plate is detected at the Exit Flex Lane, Amano ONE automatically calculates the parking fee based on the duration of the stay, creating an efficient experience from entry to exit.
What sets ONEflex apart is its Hybrid Flex Lane Configuration.
Ticketless When You Want It. Tickets When You Need Them.
Unlike solutions that require operators to choose between a ticketed or ticketless environment, ONEflex is designed to support both experiences.
With Amano ONE’s Hybrid Flex Lane Configuration, a ticket-dispensing Amano ONE Entry Station can operate as a backup revenue protection option in the ticketless LPR experience. When a license plate is successfully captured, the parker proceeds through the facility using their plate as their virtual ticket. If the system receives a No Plate read, the Issue Ticket button appears on the Amano ONE Entry Station at an operations-defined delay, allowing the parker to take a physical ticket and continue into the facility.
This hybrid capability gives parking operators an important advantage: they can introduce a more automated, ticketless experience without giving up a familiar and reliable fallback when circumstances call for it.

Flexibility Built Into the Lane
ONEflex’s flexibility extends beyond the Hybrid Lane Configuration. The solution supports both front- and rear-capture LPR installations, with Capture Before Entry and Capture After Entry configurations available to accommodate different facility geometry and operational requirements.
Configuration can also be managed at the facility level or individual lane level, giving operators greater control over how ONEflex is deployed throughout their parking environment. Additional capabilities include unlimited customizable rates, contract and third-party passes, virtual and printed validations, proximity and Bluetooth access options, and flexible exemption handling.
A Simplified Mobile Payment Experience
When ONEflex and Amano ONE Mobile Payments are enabled together, parkers can pay using a facility-specific URL and QR code. After scanning the QR code with a smartphone, users can search for their parking session by license plate number and securely pay their fee – all without downloading an app. A receipt can then be delivered via email.
ONEflex also provides operators with tools for managing LPR exceptions. Amano ONE can create alerts when a ticket record is generated with a No Plate read, allowing management to review additional information, including the captured image. Configurable Exception Fees provide another option for handling parking sessions when no plate is available to pair with the virtual ticket.
