Los Angeles Times reporter Steve Lopez published one of a series of columns on disabled parking abuse this week, calling those who illegally use the parking permits of others “inconsiderate, arrogant, and they’re everywhere.”
The column focused on the reactions of drivers who get caught using disabled parking hangtags when no disabled person is in the vehicle. Some, he wrote, are repentant. Some are indignant. And some cry foul loudly.
