IPMI Introduces Micro-Credential for Parking Enforcement

New Certification Serves as Mark of Excellence Frontline and Enforcement Personnel The International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI) announces a new micro-credential designed to recognize the acumen and skills of the industry’s enforcement personnel. The Parking Enforcement & Compliance Professional (PECP™) credential is open to all parking and mobility professionals with a minimum of one year of employment in the industry. This credential is ideal for frontline and enforcement personnel and is specifically tailored to the needs of these vital public-facing professionals. The PECP™ micro-credential is a subset of knowledge, skills, and abilities taken from the Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) exam content outline, which centers on best practices and education on enforcement and compliance. Several required courses to achieve the micro-credential are only available as part of the PECP™ curriculum. “Our frontline and enforcement members are among some of the hardest working professionals in our industry,” said IPMI CEO Shawn D. Conrad, CAE. “By creating a micro-credential that focuses on the education and resources they need to elevate their performance, IPMI opens the door for employers to transition these roles from jobs to careers. This micro-credential advances the roles of the frontline and enforcement professionals, and achieving the PECP™ will be a sign of expertise and leadership for its achievers.” Click here for more information on the PECP™ micro-credential and to get started with the program. Any questions or concerns about membership in IPMI can be emailed to certification@parking-mobility.org.
