Poll: AVs Still Scary to Most Drivers

autonomous vehiclesA new poll by PCMag about future technology found the scariest things about autonomous vehicles (AVs) for most people isn’t the cost, but the chance of system failure or other accident. Forty-five percent of survey respondents said safety concerns and technology failures were their biggest fears about going driverless.

Price and hacking threats were next on the list of hesitations, the survey found. Interestingly, fears about job loss in the automotive industry were relatively popular as well.
