The Spanish translations are available when a ParkHouston user updates their device settings to Spanish.

HOUSTON, TX – January 26, 2022 – ParkMobile announced an enhancement to the City of Houston’s ParkHouston app that will give users access to view the app in Spanish. This new feature makes the app more accessible for ParkHouston’s Spanish-speaking users as the city continues to make parking easy and convenient.

“Houston is the most diverse city in the country, so offering a Spanish version of the app is very important to the City of Houston,” says Tina Paez, Director of Administration and Regulatory Affairs. “ParkHouston wants parking payments to be as convenient as possible for all Houstonians and visitors to our community.”

ParkMobile and the City of Houston have been in partnership for more than a decade, and the ParkHouston app launched in 2017. Since then, ParkHouston has seen more than 300,000 lifetime users, resulting in more than three million transactions.

The ParkHouston app, powered by ParkMobile, is free to download on both iPhone and Android devices. To view the app in Spanish, a user must change their default language to Spanish (United States) in their phone settings. From there, users can use the app to pay for parking or reserve parking in advance, just as they would on the English version of the app.

With just a few taps, Google Pay users can quickly start a parking session anywhere in Atlanta where ParkMobile is accepted


Atlanta, GA – June 8, 2021 – ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in the U.S., today announced a new way for people to pay for parking around the City of Atlanta directly from the Google Pay app. Starting this month, all Google Pay users will be able to start a parking session anywhere ParkMobile is accepted in the city.

ParkMobile Teams up with Google Pay to Offer More Contactless Parking Payment Options in AtlantaTo make a parking payment, a user will open the Google Pay app on their Android or iOS mobile device and tap to park from the home screen. The user will start a new session, enter the parking zone and space number, add time, and finish the payment. If it is the user’s first time using Google Pay to park, the user also has to enter the car’s license plate number. Once the session has started, the user can easily extend parking time from the Google Pay app without going back to the meter. Additionally, there are quick links from the driving directions in Google Maps that take a user right into the ParkMobile section of the Google Pay app.

Atlanta, GA – June 1, 2021 – EasyPark Group, the European fast-growing mobility company, announced today the completed acquisition of PARK NOW Group, including North American-based ParkMobile. The closing of this transaction immediately expands EasyPark Group’s global footprint into the North American market, where ParkMobile is the #1 parking app with 25 million users and a presence in over 450 cities, including eight of the top ten.

EasyPark Group is backed by private equity firms Verdane Capital and Vitruvian Partners and currently operates in 2,200 cities across 20 countries throughout Europe and Australia. This acquisition brings together two successful companies and enables the expanded Group to grow further and become a global pacesetter within digital parking, electrical vehicle charging, and mobility services.

ParkMobile Launches New Feature Enabling Users to Pay Highway Tolls

Company expands mobility offering beyond parking into tolling

ParkMobile, the #1 parking and mobility company in North America, announced today a new feature that will enable people to pay for highway tolls through their ParkMobile account.  This further extends the use of ParkMobile beyond parking and charging into broader transportation and mobility services.

ParkMobile users can sign up for this new tolling feature here: https://parkmobile.io/tolls/.  Once the account has been validated and approved, the user will receive a notification that their account is ready to be used to pay for highway tolls. When driving on a toll road, the user can simply go through the express lanes utilizing license plate recognition cameras, and their ParkMobile account will automatically be charged. The user will then receive an email receipt with the full transaction details for their records.

ParkMobile will be immediately available for payments on major toll roads in eleven states, including Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. A full list of tolling authorities that accept ParkMobile and other frequently asked questions can be found here. The company plans to add availability at more toll roads in the coming months.

Atlanta, GA – February 17, 2021 – ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in the U.S., announced today a new solution that enables users to pay for parking right from Google Maps. This expands ParkMobile’s work with Google that launched in November 2020 following the introduction of the redesigned Google Pay app. Google Maps and ParkMobile are the #1 and #3 ranked apps in the app store’s navigation category, making this a powerful combination for drivers.

Currently, ParkMobile’s integration with Google Pay enables users to pay for parking in over 240 cities across the U.S. without needing to download a separate parking app or create an account. Now with the new Google Maps feature, users can navigate to their destination and then, with just a few taps, quickly pay for parking at most locations where ParkMobile is accepted. This new feature starts rolling out on Android today and will be coming to iOS soon.

To make a parking payment, a user taps the “pay for parking” button from driving navigation in Google Maps. They are then taken directly to the ParkMobile section in the Google Pay app, where they enter their parking zone number, add time, and finish the payment with any credit or debit card saved to their Google Pay account If it is the user's first-time using Google Pay to park, the user also has to enter the car's license plate number. Once the session has started, the user can easily extend parking time from the Google Pay app without going back to the meter.

ParkMobile Launches New Mobile Web App for Contactless Parking Payments

Users will now have more options for contactless payments with ParkMobile

Atlanta, GA – February 3, 2020 –  ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North America, announced today the launch of a new web app enabling users to quickly pay for parking in a mobile web browser. This web app is another way ParkMobile provides more options for people who prefer to make a contactless parking payment but do not want to download a full-featured mobile app. This news comes on the heels of the December announcement that ParkMobile payments can also be made in the new Google Pay app.

A user can access the new ParkMobile web app by visiting parkmobile.io and touching “Enter Zone Number.” The app can also be opened by scanning the QR code posted on a ParkMobile sign or texting "PARK" to 77223. Once in the mobile web app, the user enters the zone number posted on the signs around the space, chooses the duration, and touches the "start parking" button. The user will get email and text alerts when the parking session is about to expire and can extend time right from the web app.

Current users of the ParkMobile app for iOS or Android can use their same account credentials to log in to the web app. Additionally, the web app will be introducing a guest checkout option in the coming months, allowing users to pay for parking without creating an account.

Despite COVID-19 impacts on the parking industry, ParkMobile continues to rapidly grow its user base and expand into new cities.

ParkMobile launched in North America in 2008 and it took the company nearly 5 years to acquire its first million users. Today, ParkMobile adds 1 million new users every 60 to 70 days. Over the past 12 years, the company has processed over 334,000,000 transactions totaling 57 billion minutes of parking time and over $1 billion of parking fees. Platform will help cities improve efficiency managing different parking technologies

Atlanta, GA – September 2, 2020 – ParkMobile, the leader in smart parking and mobility solutions, announced today new partnerships with the cities of Fresno, Clearwater, Orlando, and the Chattanooga Parking Authority to consolidate reporting, policies and rates for their entire parking operation in the ParkMobile 360 platform.

ParkMobile 360 will enable the cities to have a single view of data across the different parking technologies including meters, enforcement solutions and permits. By consolidating the parking data in one place, ParkMobile 360 provides cities with an easy way to track the results for the entire parking operation, including data on parking transactions, payments and citations. ParkMobile 360 will also enable cities to centrally manage all parking rates and policies in the platform and then push that information out to the different technologies.

In recent years, as cities across the United States have worked to modernize their parking operations, there has been an influx of new technologies on the market. While many of these solutions can improve a parking program, managing all of these disconnected stand-alone technologies has created a significant burden for city personnel. ParkMobile 360 solves this problem by bringing everything together in one centralized platform.
