Professional Recognition Awards
Professional Recognition Awards recognize the contributions of parking, transportation, and mobility industry individuals – our industry’s best.
Ensure deserving colleagues and organizations are recognized by nominating them for an IPMI Professional Recognition Award today. You may self-nominate.
All nominees must be IPMI members in good standing and there is no nomination fee.
Categories & Criteria
The Professional Recognition Awards honors individuals and organizations in the following categories:
- James M. Hunnicutt, CAPP, Industry Professional of the Year for management-level professionals who direct an entire parking/transportation/mobility operation or manage multiple units within a department.
- Organization of the Year for public or private organizations, departments, consultants, suppliers, commercial operators, etc.
- Emerging Leader of the Year for those age 40 and younger who are blazing their own trails through the parking, transportation, and mobility industry.
- Professional Excellence Awards recognizes excellence for all staff, from the front-line to management. Awards will recognize outstanding performance in a variety of areas.
Nominations are accepted on an annual basis and judged by a select panel of judges representing every segment of the parking and mobility industry.

The James M. Hunnicutt, CAPP, Industry Professional of the Year recognition honors a founding father of IPMI who was a pioneer in the parking and transportation field. Hunnicutt made significant contributions to the profession throughout his life and was selected as Parking Man of the Year in 1976. James Hunnicutt passed away in 2012.
