About the course: This self-paced reading activity highlights various articles regarding sustainable mobility alternatives and the impact of a digital transportation infrastructure. Read articles about what considerations to take when planning a parking garage and how to maximize bike share and electric vehicle charging stations.  This reading should take approximately 35 minutes.  After reading these six articles complete a 10-question quiz on the selected readings.

Objectives:

  • Recognize the implications of a digital transportation infrastructure and how the 20th Century physical infrastructure will need to change.
  • Recognize how ride-hailing services have affected transit-oriented usage and the public mindset.
  • Identify EV charging considerations when designing a parking garage.
  • Discover how developing the right EV charging program can meet Parksmart certification and city code requirements.
