PAG Fall Symposium – Shared Mobility and Parking in the Smart City

  •
  • EMORY UNIVERSITY (MAP)

It has taken a while but technology has started to catch up with the parking industry. From GPS based direction to on and off street spaces, to reservations systems to payment modes, parking is finally arriving in the smart city.  The issue at hand is simple: parking lots have been ignored while automobiles have been making huge strides. However, that’s about to change. Frost & Sullivan report that the current global $100 billion industry is looking at investments to the tune of $200-$250 million through 2019. Navigant Research believes that by 2020, we could be looking at around a million smart spaces worldwide.    Come hear Executives from three different parking technology companies offer their insight into the role technology and parking is playing now and will play in the future in the smart city.

The program is organized by the Parking Association of Georgia and hosted by Emory University.  Cocktail reception to follow program.
