IPI Webinar: Unlocking the Power of Data: Using GIS to Store, Manage, and Empower Your Parking and Transportation Data

May 4, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am EDT

On Demand Archive: $35.00 for IPI Members, $50.00 for Non-Members

Parking and transportation professionals looking for cutting-edge technology to enforce and collect revenue, identify needs, and manage demands often overlook the use of geographic information systems (GIS). Planners and engineers are using GIS to store, assess, manage, and identify trends within their communities using their own data in a single database. This session highlights how municipalities and universities are leveraging technology to improve efficiencies and workflows in their day-to-day tasks.

Objectives:

  • Define the benefits of GIS-based planning and engineering solutions.
  • Discuss case studies for asset management and planning.
  • Discuss case studies for advanced planning and management with GIS software.
