The University of Northern Colorado Leverages Passport’s Platform to Offer Mobile Payments for Parking

The University joins the City of Greeley in offering a simple, more convenient way to pay for parking through Passport.

Greeley, Colorado — Through its partnership with the City of Greeley, mobility software and payments company Passport is expanding its mobile pay parking solution to the University of Northern Colorado. The Passport Parking application, powered by Passport, allows students, faculty and visitors to seamlessly pay for and extend their parking sessions from their smartphones. Passport is also the mobility software provider for the University’s location of Greeley, CO, providing the City digital solutions for parking, enforcement and permits.

After downloading the free app from the App Store or Google Play, a user enters the respective zone number, license plate number and the desired length of time for parking. Users can receive notifications when their sessions are about to expire, extend their sessions remotely and view receipts and parking history. Users can also conveniently manage their short-term parking online at passportparking.com.

“Providing the best campus experience to our students, staff and faculty is a high priority for the University of Northern Colorado, and parking is a significant piece of this experience,” says Jay Dinges, Director for the University of Northern Colorado. “With Passport, our parkers can conveniently pay on the go, our staff can reallocate time spent collecting change and repairing hardware and we have more insight into our campus parking environment.”

The University of Northern Colorado chose Passport because of the company’s success in the City of Greeley. With one powerful platform in place to manage all of their short-term parking and mobility needs, both the University of Northern Colorado and the City of Greeley have access to powerful data that allow the teams to form more data-driven decisions, supporting more sustainable and equitable communities for students, residents and visitors.

“Since launching in 2019, the City of Greeley has experienced tremendous success with Passort’s platform to manage and simplify its parking and mobility needs,” says Kelly Andrews, Passport client success manager. “We are thrilled to now partner with the University of Northern Colorado to provide the same digital parking experience and help the University succeed in meeting its operational goals.”

The Passport Parking app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their short-term parking online at passportparking.com.
