Talking About Parking Guidance System

With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards and the increase in car ownership, more and more large parking lots with thousands of parking spaces have been established. Imagine what we might encounter when we drive to a large parking lot that is unfamiliar and has no parking guidance system?

During peak periods, it may take a lot of effort to find a parking space. When we were about to leave, we found that we were in Zone F, but the car was parked in Zone A. Looking for a car in the vast sea of cars, our mood would become very bad.

As the parking guidance system can bring a better and more convenient parking experience, it is more and more favored by parking lot managers and car owners.

Today we will talk about how the parking guidance system realizes guidance and car finding.

Four Pillars of Parking Guidance System

A complete parking guidance system consists of four subsystems: data collection, central control, information release and car search. Four subsystems work together to ensure the smooth operation of the system.

When a car enters the parking lot, the data acquisition system immediately detects the vehicle’s information and uploads it to the central control system for data analysis. The system will automatically identify whether it has a reserved parking space and display it on the information release system.

For example, if the guidance camera recognizes the license plate of the reserved vehicle at the entrance, it will control the barrier to release. The guide screen at the intersection in the parking lot will immediately display the route of the reserved parking space for the car. When the car is parked, the display screen outside the parking lot will update the available parking space information.

In addition, car owners can easily find where the car is parked through the car search system, just by entering the license plate number through a mobile phone or a self-service kiosk.

All the data of the car owner from entering the parking lot to the designated parking space, from looking for the car to leaving the parking lot, will be recorded in the brain of the parking guidance system-the central control system, and form a real-time report.

Wise Eyes of Parking Guidance System

To achieve rich parking guidance functions, the ability of the data acquisition system is very important. As the core equipment of the data collection system, the detection terminal is the “wise eye” that realizes intelligent guidance.

It has undergone an upgrade from ultrasonic detection, standard definition video recognition to today’s high-definition video recognition. With the development of detection terminals, parking guidance functions are gradually enriched.

In the ultrasonic detection stage, the system can only confirm the existence of the vehicle, but cannot identify the vehicle color and license plate number. At this stage, the parking guidance function is limited to the statistics and release of the number of parking spaces.

When it develops to the video detection stage, the detection system can “see” the license plate, so the parking guidance function begins to be enriched. Through the detection of the license plate, the system can achieve more accurate parking statistics.

With the improvement of the functions of the parking guidance system, it has gradually spread to major shopping malls, transportation hubs, and office parking lots, and provides car owners with parking space reservations, available parking space search and car search services.

Jieshun Video Detection Terminal

The HD video detection terminal is compact and powerful. It adopts an integrated design, integrates a deep learning algorithm for license plate recognition, and also supports functions such as parking status indication and Bluetooth Beacon.

Through the video detection terminal, the system can monitor the status of the current parking spaces in real time and count the number of vacant parking spaces in the parking lot. According to the different status of the parking space, the indicator light of the detection terminal will show different colors. For example, when the parking space is available, it will be green; if the parking space is occupied, it will be red. When the parking space is reserved by the car owner in advance, the indicator light will be yellow, and the system will control the parking lock to raise, waiting for the arrival of the car owner.

When the car is parked, the detection terminal recognizes the license plate, and the parking position of the car can be confirmed. Car owners can use the dynamic navigation function of the APP to generate accurate car-finding routes and find the car easily.

Parking space reservation, route guidance, parking instructions, and car search, we believe that the future parking guidance system will have more functions to provide car owners with a better parking experience.
