Oklahoma City, OK, September 2019 – Wetherbee Electric has been awarded a contract to sell and install nine SKIDATA reversible entry/exit equipment lanes and six automatic SKIDATA payment kiosks at the Oklahoma City Convention Center parking garage. The parking garage will serve the Convention Center, Scissortail Park, the Omni Hotel, and the Boulevard Place. The facility will utilize the sweb® platform Version 12 from SKIDATA to assist in facility reporting, customer service, online reservations, and more. Software and hardware are continually evolving, so utilizing state of the art parking equipment is a necessary step in providing a great customer experience for Oklahoma City residents and visitors.
The reversible lanes will make parking convenient and flexible for patrons. During events, the facility can convert the lanes to entries so that visitors can get into the garage efficiently. At the end of the event, the facility can reverse the direction of the lanes to help visitors exit more promptly. The automatic payment kiosks will accept cash, coin, and credit card. Patrons have the option to pay with a credit card upon entry or pay upon exiting the facility.
“The Convention Center parking facility is going to utilize state of the art parking equipment, which parking patrons will really appreciate,” said Mike Cooke, President of Wetherbee Electric. “This intention is for the facility to be unmanned, which allows the city to divert resources to higher-need areas.” Wetherbee has been partnering with businesses and individuals in Oklahoma City for over 100 years to help them revitalize their facilities.
