Waymo Partners with Automakers to Research Driverless Mobility Services
For the first time, Waymo (formerly the Google self-driving car project) has teamed up with two automakers to research driverless mobility services. The company will work with Nissan and Renault to work on driverless delivery of packages and people in Japan and France.
Groupe Renault is the world’s largest automotive alliance. Waymo boasts more than 10 million driverless miles in the U.S., and sees the partnership as an opportunity to go global. Read the whole story here.
