A Los Angeles man is up to here with people who leave too much space between vehicles when parallel parking and he’s taking matters into his own hands–much to the delight of his neighbors.
Derek Boonstra says he’s spent too much time circling his neighborhood looking for parking spaces because some of his neighbors don’t park efficiently. So he had a batch of metal signs printed that read “YO Please Maximize Parking,” and explain that only two to three feet should be left between cars. And then he mounted them on existing parking sign poles.
The signs have been so effective, he says, that he’s posted the design online for anyone who wants to emulate his efforts. No word on what local law enforcement thinks, but his popularity has skyrocketed on local websites; one neighbor posted about him, “Heroes don’t always wear capes.”
