There is no crystal ball – but there are many varied perspectives on what’s going to happen with the advent of the autonomous vehicle. Bob Lutz’s comments on CNBC recently stirred the pot. Former vice chairman of product development for General Motors, he opined that society is “approaching the end of the automotive era.”

Jim Hackett, the new CEO of Ford Motor Company, shared a different vision, featured on the Parking Matters Blog recently—he focused on the concept that the American affair with the automobile is far from over. As parking and mobility professionals, we need to drive and shape this conversation as well. What do you think?
