Don’t go changing to try and please me. — Billy Joel
Actually, when things change for the good, I find this pleasing. We no longer have to wait to make a call at a bank of phones in a hotel lobby, or pay long-distance phone charges. I’m happy to use Spotify rather than purchase CDs or pay for gasoline and other purchases with a credit card rather than have cash available. This is all change for the better.
France as a country is decriminalizing parking. In the past two years, local authorities have begun to view parking citations as a civil offense rather than a criminal one, essentially ending the practice of putting someone in jail for failure to pay their fine. While jail time will get someone’s attention, there are other ways to remedy scofflaws.
Let us know where you are seeing improvements in redirecting people’s parking behavior.
