EasyPark will accept food donations to pay parking citations.
Anchorage, AK – August 9, 2017
From August 14 – September 15, 2017, EasyPark will accept food donations in lieu of payment for parking citations as part of a community food drive effort with Food Bank of Alaska, who provides food assistance to Alaskans in need.
“EasyPark values service agencies who provide back to the community,” says Parking Director Brian Borguno. “Providing assistance by accepting food items for parking citations is a good start to combat our local hunger problem.”
Donation values that are being accepted in lieu of payment are the following:
- Macaroni & Cheese $2
- Small canned meat $3
- Large canned meat $5
- Dry cereal, oatmeal, cream of wheat, etc. $5
- Jam & Jelly $5
- Pop-Top Cans or Boxed Meals $6
- Large Canned Fruit $6
- Peanut Butter $6
- Coffee $8
- Case of Top Ramen $10
Those who are interested in participating will need to bring their donations to the EasyPark
