(FREDERICKSBURG, VA – July 16, 2013) Healthcare executives, facility managers, and parking operations managers: How can the parking experience at your healthcare facility efficiently and effectively meet patients’ needs and still meet the parking needs of employees, visitors and guests?

At a two-day Parking CARES Symposium, offered by the Cleveland Clinic in cooperation with the International Parking Institute (IPI), you’ll discover how the Cleveland Clinic’s award-winning Parking Operations effectively balances the parking needs of patients, employees, visitors and guests as it operates 44,000 spaces, 11 garages, 116 surface lots and 24 valet locations that serve 50,000 internal customers in its Northeast Ohio Health System.

During the two-day symposium’s six sessions, to be held August 5-6 at the Cleveland Clinic, speakers will describe best practices in the Cleveland Clinic’s Parking Services operations and the CARES model that brings a balanced approach to the clinic’s patient-focused, service-oriented parking program. Gordon M. Snow, chief of protective services at the Cleveland Clinic will be the keynote speaker.

“IPI is pleased to collaborate with the Cleveland Clinic to bring this symposium to healthcare executives and managers as well as parking professionals,” said Shawn Conrad, CAE, IPI’s executive director. “Impressions of a healthcare facility often begin in the garage or parking lot, so it’s important for facility executives and managers to be current about best practices that improve parking efficiencies and customer service. The Parking CARES Symposium will provide an inside look at the CARES model successfully used by one of the nation’s leading medical center parking operations.”
